DUTCH TEACHERS VISIT OUR SCHOOL

As you can see, our Comenius project continues…
Last week, our school were so lucky to welcome Mr Ben Hiemstra ( the Head of Orange-Nassau school in Nijkerk, Holland) and his family (5 adult members). They all were in Barcelona spending some days of holidays, and from there they came to our little village.
We all had a nice time together; our teachers and pupils were very happy to meet so important visitors.
We are so grateful to the Dutch family who spent one day of their holidays visiting us.
Teachers and pupils from Dr Ferrer school, Artés.
THANKS A LOT
Una abraçada

Paquita`s Power Point Presentation :-) in Barcelona

The National agency in Barcelona every year organizes a Comenius meeting for all the schools in Catalonia involved in Language Projects (Comenius, Pile).
This year the meeting took place on September 18th in Barcelona.
Before that, the Comenius heads from Barcelona came to our school to evaluate our project. They praised us for the work done, and they invited us to participate in that meeting to tell the audience - the Comenius heads from Barcelona and Madrid and 500 teachers from all around Catalonia- about how we had worked in the European Legends. There were two Comenius Projects chosen as the BEST in Catalonia: one was OURS, the other was from a secondary school.
Of course we were very proud that we had been invited and we got a big success in the presentation.
SO, I want to THANK YOU to our Comenius partners: Poland, Holland, Slovenia, Portugal and Latvia for all the work we did TOGETHER in that Comenius Project. The success is also YOURS.
A big hug
Paquita

Name giving ceremony in Szkoła Podstawowa nr 11 in Przemyśl

It was a very special day in our school. We celebrated a new name. Now we are called Szkoła Podstawowa nr 11 imienia dr Henryka Jordana. ( Dr Henryk Jordan Primary School nr 11)

Henryk Jordan (23 July 1842, Przemyśl – 16 May 1907, Kraków), was a Polish philanthropist, physician and pioneer of physical education in Poland. He became best known for organizing children’s playgrounds, called "Jordan’s Gardens" after him.

Together with the name we received a flag which is going to be an important symbol. The flag was blessed in church during a special mass. The whole ceremony was prepared by all teachers and parents with pupils. There were a lot of guests, who could visit our school that day and look at exhibition of the history of our school.Comenius programme was represented too.

The book of school`s history was written by our Polish teacher Katarzyna Skotnicka and published by school.
